Please join us this Friday, November 16th as we honor our local, state and national heroes at the annual Woodvale Elementary Patriotic Celebration. The time has been changed to 12:45pm to take advantage of the expected beautiful weather!
Good morning, parents! Woodvale is launching its fall fundraiser today to generate revenue for technology, equipment, and supplies. We are sending home catalogs today with items ranging from cookies to wrapping paper and kitchen gadgets for grandparents, neighbors, friends, and co-workers. The school is giving away some exciting prizes, even if your child just sells one item. Thank you!
Set up: Thursday October 18th, 4 – 7pm We will be setting up tents and tables.
Symposium Day: Start at 7am – End after 4pm Early morning will be getting finishing touches on decorations and tents and helping our community partners get set up for their activities. Throughout the day volunteers will be assisting with tent activities and helping shuffle the kiddos through each station.
Our Woodvale Spy Network is hard at work! All new recruits should report to the Operations Command Center (Cafeteria) on the dates listed below for crucial briefings and operation planning sessions. Operation Calculation is in the final planning stages and wee need your help. We hope to see you there!
Please join us for a room parent and volunteer meeting on Thursday September 6th in the Woodvale Library. If you are a room parent, the meeting will be from 6:00pm to 6:30pm. We will discuss best practices and answer any questions regarding room parents. For information on volunteer opportunities, please join us from 6:30pm to 7:00pm for an overview of all volunteer needs for this school year. We hope you will join us and look forward to seeing you there!
On Wednesday, August 28th at 6pm, Woodvale Elementary will host representatives from Pack 158 (Asbury) and Pack 156 (St. Mary’s) for a Cub Scout Recruitment and Information Session. Both packs serve the Woodvale community and are part of the Kuna Nisha District of the Evangeline Area Council. Representatives will be on hand to discuss all scouting has to offer the young men and women of Woodvale. Parents can gather information and register their child for either pack at the meeting.
Representatives with the Girl Scouts of America will also be on hand to provide information on Girl Scout activities available to the young ladies of Woodvale.
Make plans to attend and find out about the wonderful opportunities available through Cub Scouts, BSA and GSA.
